Daniel Markee

Dan has been an equity partner and managed the growth and success of a real estate private equity firm generated over $92 million in revenues, been the Vice President for the Real Estate Division of a major life insurance company, the Vice President of Brokerage and Property Management for a large commercial real estate brokerage, and managed property development, residential mortgage banking and resort property operations.  Responsibilities have included profit/loss and all general management functions including operations/administration; production/project management; human resource and financial management; sales, marketing, and new business development; strategic planning, profit improvement, and cost-containment programs; financial forecasting; budget development and administration; banking relationships and development of bank lines of credit; management of legal, CPA, insurance, and banking relationships; vendor and contract negotiations; public relations; employee relations; contractual negotiation and auditing of contractual performance; facilities management.

Have also been responsible for workout and turnaround successes; negotiating joint venture and institutional equity partnership relationships; syndicating investments throughout the U.S.; origination of real estate/real estate operating company investments; development and implementation of investment management practices and procedures; management of liquidity requirements; debt management; joint venture portfolio management; lending and joint venture investments; brokerage growth; corporate strategy and corporate shareholder relations and policy/governance issues; congressional lobby activities; construction and engineering issues; environmental cleanup; regulatory negotiation and compliance issues; and public, community, and client relations.  Have managed staffs up to 50, portfolios as large as $250 million in assets.

Personally directed acquisition of direct real estate investments of over $2,000,000,000.

Dan also sits on the National Real Estate Advisory Board for the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado.


Heather L. Schwarz, CFPTM

Ms. Schwarz, 39, has spent the past two decades working alongside companies and individuals with capital raises, investments, strategy/idea generation, and technology and corporate restructuring. She honed her entrepreneurial spirit, leadership acumen, real estate experience, and drive for success over an impressive 20-year career in the financial services industry. She is often referred to for her remarkable accomplishments and key role in the transformation of the private finance industry. She was the Co-Founder of, a real estate crowdfunding platform. She is a member of Young Entrepreneurs Council, CIFRA and CFPA. Previously, she served as Sr. Vice President, Sr. Private Banker at Wells Fargo- The Private Bank, and provided financial services to both corporate and ultra high-net-worth individuals that represented total portfolio under management of over $500MM. Prior to Wells Fargo, she spent six years at Merrill Lynch in Miami in Private Finance and Private Client Services. Heather holds the following licenses: Certified Financial PlannerTM, NASD Series 7- General Securities, and NASD Series 66- Combined State Law Florida. In addition to being a successful businesswoman, Heather is a community leader and is a strong role model to her three young daughters. She also speaks Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
